CEDOMIS is one of the expressions through which the Scalabrinian Missionary Sisters show, in the Church and in society, the female face of the Scalabrinian Charisma, which they received and lived as a vocation and mission, among migrants. Therefore, the guiding philosophy of the Centre wants to be in creative and faithful continuity with the "Scalabrinian vision of migration". By this expression we refer both to G. B. Scalabrini's socio-pastoral project and writings and to the work and study of the Scalabrinian Fathers and Sisters in over 100 years, during which they have been living and working in the world, as missionaries among migrants.

In developing the CEDOMIS project we have as fundamental points of reference a positive, yet realistic and structural vision of the local, national and international migration phenomena, in the light of Christian anthropology and the guidelines of the Church's social doctrine.
